What Makes Us Different

Many pre-licensure supervised practice arrangements are underpaid, overburdened, or exploitative. They often keep trainees dependent rather than helping them move into genuine independence.

We built Constellation Alliance differently. Here, you:

  • Keep the clients you see.

  • Set your own fees and policies.

  • Build a practice under supervision that you can carry forward into full licensure.

  • Receive mentorship that includes not only clinical guidance but also the financial, ethical, and business dimensions of practice.

In other words, supervision here is not just about compliance — it’s about learning how to become the kind of clinician you want to be, and building a structure that sustains you in that work.

I’m Alex Belser, PhD, a clinical psychologist, scientist, and educator formerly at Yale and NYU, now in private practice. I help early-career clinicians find their clinical voice, build sustainable private practices, and achieve independent licensure.

My supervision style is collaborative, direct, and empowering. You’ll gain clinical independence, business mentorship, and a supportive constellation of guidance as you step into your professional identity.

CONSTELLATION

Alliance for Independent Therapists

Freedom to practice, constellation of support.

A supervised path to licensure—and support in building your private practice.
